It’s summer, and the sun’s out! Parks are open, people are out, and something is (usually) going on. There’s so much to do, many memories to enjoy.
1. Enjoy the nature.
The leaves are still green, the sun’s still shining, the air is still warm (and sometimes humid), and the birds are still chirping. Sometimes, it’s nice to just take a break and take a walk in the park. It’s calming and relaxing – and a nice change of pace compared to everyday life.
2. They are beautiful.
While you may see something thrown to the side of the park sometimes (unfortunately), parks are really pretty. When the weather’s nice, make some time to go and take a look for yourself, even if the park is 45 minutes or more away from where you live.
3. Little kids can have some fun (without having to use technology).
Whether they’re your little brothers or sisters, your own kids, your little cousins, or your little nieces or nephews, little kids tend to enjoy playing on the playground. They’ll release their energy while you’re sitting and watching as you talk to others or relax.
4. The statues
Some of the statues you see in parks are fun to look at. Some have a history you might find interesting, even if history wasn’t (or isn’t) your favorite school subject. Others might just have an amusing or interesting story. You’ll have to go to parks to find those out.
5. There are so many people.
While you will find some quieter parks out there (or times with less people), parks like Central Park in New York City are full of people. Sometimes, you just need to be around many people, even if they’re strangers. Other times, it would be nice to meet new people.
Whatever the reason may be, I hope you get the chance to go to the park soon (and you enjoy it). No matter how big or how small it is, there’ll be something to do, whether you’re going alone or with others, and don’t forget to Smile 4 a While! 😃
