It’s been a full week into the new year, but it isn’t too late to come up with a New Year’s resolution that you can stick to! Even if you’re not a “morning person”, hopefully these five additions to your morning routine will enhance your day!
1. Wake up at the same time every day.

No matter what, wake up at the same time every day, make it a point to wake up at that time 7 days a week. It may be very tempting to hit the snooze button, especially on weekends, but waking up at the same time every day helps your body have consistency and get into a routine. You may find that it feels more satisfying and fulfilling, too!
2. Exercise.

It won’t just make you more fit, it’ll help you wake up, too. Whether you decide to go to the gym, do yoga, swim in a pool, do Zumba in Zumba classes or your own living room, or something else, you may feel more energized bright and early. That’ll lead you to never start your school day or workday feeling tired or lethargic again!
3. Meditate.

While it may feel tempting to skip this in the morning, especially if you have a busy day ahead, you may find that it’s worth doing anyways. It won’t just help you calm down. It can also help you clear your mind and feel more energized. Now who needs that morning cup of coffee?
4. Write.

Write, but don’t just write down anything. Think about your goals for the day. What do you hope to accomplish? What are a couple of the most important things you want to get done today?
5. Go for a walk.

You may consider this to be part of your exercise routine, or you may not. Either way, consider taking a walk during your morning routine, whether it’s for 15 minutes or an hour, especially if you know you’ll be sitting for most of the day.
What do you do as part of your morning routine? What will you do to as part of your morning routine to enhance your morning and/or your day?
