Let’s Celebrate Positive Thinking Day

Be Optimistic

Every year, Positive Thinking Day is celebrated on September 13th. It’s a holiday started by an American entrepreneur in 2003 so that people can acknowledge and celebrate the many great happenings and things that come from thinking positively.

How do you celebrate Positive Thinking Day? Here are 7 ways to get started:

1. When you get up in the morning, tell yourself: “Today’s going to be a good day!”

You’re setting the tone for the day ahead of you, and you’ll feel better and more hopeful going through the day.

2. Be kind.

When you’re being kind, you’re making others feel better as well as yourself. It makes people feel happy, and for some, it may even make their day.

3. Express gratitude.

Show appreciation for what others are doing. You’re not just thanking them for doing what they do; you’re seeing how it’s positive, acknowledging it, and making those people feel better.

4. Laugh as much as you can.

When you’re laughing, you’re happy and smiling. You’re not thinking about anything negative, and you are able to focus on the positive. You can feel and experience the difference after laughing a few times. As they say, “Laughter is the best medicine!”

5. Make yourself happy.

Do whatever makes you happy, whether you want to read, watch movies or TV shows, spend time with others, cook, or something else, do it. It may be for as little as 20 minutes or as long as a few hours, but being happy is a great way to be positive.

6. Listen to your favorite songs.

Listening to your favorite songs can always put you in a good mood, even if you weren’t before. Enjoy the music – whether you want to sing or dance along or listen, and you’ll definitely feel better.

7. Smile.
